This is an all-day event, so come anytime, but from 10 am to 1 pm might be the best time for the biggest crowds. You'll need a Recreation Passport on your car to drive in to the state recreation area. Be sure to stay in park areas (not privatized concession areas). It's your right to collect signatures in public parks, don't let the DNR tell you otherwise. Come prepared for a fun day of collecting!
