Endorse our campaign!

Posted on Endorsements by Committee to Ban Fracking in Michigan · July 27, 2020 11:09 AM · 20 reactions

If you, your organization, community group, or business want to help us ban fracking, please endorse our campaign. An endorsement means you will advocate for a "Yes" vote when the proposal is on the ballot in 2020.

By endorsing, you agree:

* to promote the campaign in a variety of ways, by contacting your group members about your endorsement, and promoting the campaign using the campaign's official materials on your own website, social media, and contacts, and linking to our social media on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Outreach Circle.

* to not use phrases or imagery that includes the word "no" (as in "No fracking" or "No fracking way") to make sure that people do not vote "no." We need voters to vote YES. There can be no confusion.

* to not direct traffic to your own website's donation pages that confuses people who wish to donate directly to the Committee to Ban Fracking in Michigan (unless you have your own ballot question committee with Michigan Secretary of State set up to support a Yes vote in our campaign).

* that independent expenditures you may spend outright or in-kind in support are reported to the Michigan Secretary of State by forming a campaign ballot committee group. Write us for more information.

We also strongly encourage endorsers to donate to the campaign. For non-profit organizations, see the Michigan Nonprofit Association's guidelines that explain how 501c3 and Michigan non-profit organizations can endorse ballot initiatives. https://www.mnaonline.org

Direct contributions to the campaign cannot be subject to any earmarking for specific things. All contributions will be reported to the Michigan Secretary of State in our campaign finance reporting.

Thank you for your support!

We need you and your organization to use your networks to get-out-the-vote for a YES on the ban on fracking and frack wastes!
