THANK YOU to all volunteers who helped collect our 270,962* signatures! Volunteers did so much more, from scrubbing and clerical work, to helping to hold fundraisers, organizing other volunteers, phone calling, donations, and creating our materials. And most of all, educating our fellow Michiganders about the dangers of fracking and frack wastes. When people hear firsthand from another person, and not the gas and oil industry, about these harms, it is more effective than any advertising we can do.
Like anything worth doing, getting a statewide ban on fracking and frack wastes on the ballot takes some commitment and dedication. We will commit ourselves to continued engagement with the public about the harms of fracking and frack wastes.
Our next tasks involve winning our legal fight, fundraising for our future canvassing, and organizing for our proposal to get on the ballot, including social media content development, fundraising, and educational and outreach events.
Please volunteer below for something that you'd like to do.
(*Actually we collected more than 290,000 and removed duplicates and other unusable signatures).
